Second, today's metal music.

The metal music scene used to mean something. It used to stand for defiance, a life which was thought of as proper by the metalhead and the metalhead alone. It was about sex! It was about drugs! It was about fucking guitars!! Now what is metal all about?

Darkness... fucking darkness. You know what I mean. "Oh, gee... these people are dead. They're in hell now and Satan is laughing and it's raining outside and everything is black..." EVERYTHING IS FUCKING BLACK. Rarely do you see a metal band that, when you put them together for a band shoot, they aren't all wearing black and fucking face paint and fucking sticking their tongues out.
